Recipe and how to make Tuscan chicken

Recipe and how to make Tuscan chicken

Tuscan chicken is a flavorful dish that originates from Tuscany, Italy. It typically consists of chicken cooked in a rich and creamy sauce with ingredients like garlic, tomatoes, spinach, and herbs. The sauce is often made with a combination of heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, resulting in a creamy and indulgent texture. Tuscan chicken is commonly served with pasta, rice, or crusty bread.

Here's a recipe for Tuscan chicken along with step-by-step instructions:

Ingredients:

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

- 1 tablespoon olive oil

- 4 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

- 1 cup spinach leaves

- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped

- 1/2 cup heavy cream

- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

- 1 teaspoon dried basil

- 1 teaspoon dried oregano

- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, dried basil, and dried oregano on both sides.

2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until they are browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.

3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

4. Add cherry tomatoes and sun-dried tomatoes to the skillet and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cherry tomatoes begin to soften.

5. Stir in the spinach leaves and cook for another minute until they wilt.

6. Reduce the heat to low and add heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese to the skillet. Stir well to combine all the ingredients and allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.

7. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Simmer for an additional 2 minutes to heat the chicken through.

8. Remove from heat and serve the Tuscan chicken hot. You can garnish it with some fresh basil or grated Parmesan cheese if desired.

Enjoy your delicious Tuscan chicken!

Please note that cooking times may vary depending on the type and thickness of the chicken breasts, so it's always a good idea to check for doneness using a meat thermometer.
